we need a 2-stage timesheet approval process, where stage 1 (immediately after the end user enters their timesheet on the mobile app) is that the line manager reviews the entries on the app and provides in-principle approval of the entered times; the line manager would be defined as the person who is the site manager or foreman or supervisor of the project. the next stage stage 2, will be the project manager approval - the project manager is someone who has visibility across multiple projects, and they have a jobpac login. they can therefore review multiple timesheet entries via their jobpac login. LINE MANAGERS i.e. foremen, supervisors, site managers, do NOT normally have a jobpac login for our purposes, and the additional licencing required to give all of them a jobpac login would substantially defeat the cost-savings we are looking at realising via the efficiencies of using the app in place of less automated methods.

Agree Peter, this would be a nice feature. We have a few more big ticket features to release in the enar to Medium turn but I can see this as being a popular suggestion and one we hope to develop in the future.
cheers
Andrew
I realize now that the line managers can in fact use exisitng 'timesheet' licensing, however I suggest it will still be worth developing the app to allow the stage 1 line manager approval to happen in the app rather than only via the jobpac web interface
